Hi Moms (and Dads) We are planning to meet up with friends at Magic Kingdom and hope to go for a meal together. How do I make a reservation for a group of 7 when only 4 are using the dining plan? Thanks in advance.

Hello, David! Welcome to the Moms Panel and thanks for your question. Last year when I traveled to Walt Disney World with my son and my mother, we had the Disney Dining Plan and planned to meet up with family that lived nearby. Since I planned the entire trip, it was up to me to set up a dining reservation for all of us. I simply called the Disney Dining Reservation Number at (407) 939-1947 and set up a regular reservation that included both parties. Since the reservation was in my name, my credit card information was on file in case of cancellation. When we arrived I notified our server that the three of us were on the Disney Dining Plan and that we'd be paying separately. When it came time to pay the bill the server was able to take care of everything without an issue.

You can call the reservation number, or book a reservation online and include the total number of your party. Just be aware of the cancellation policy and your responsibility. You can split bills and handle them separately after you actually arrive and talk with your server.

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know. Have a magical meet up at the Magic Kingdom!
