Hi moms and dads! My family and I will be at WDW from 12/22/14 to 12/27/14 I was wondering what is the weather like during that time? We also book "preferred rooms" at the Disney Movies resort I was wondering where these rooms are located?

    Hi again DonUlecia,

Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions.

Generally, temperatures in late December in Central Florida are very mild with highs about 70 and lows about 50. We usually don't get a lot of rain during that period either. But the weather can be unpredictable. This year around that time, we ping-ponged fairly quickly from the 80s to the 50s and back to the 70s.

You shouldn't need your heavy cold-weather gear from Michigan winters, but I suggest dressing in layers to be comfortable at any temperature. By the way, all the pools are heated to 82 degrees year-round. You usually won't find us Floridians in the water when it's below 70, but you may find it just right.

Now for the other part of your question, the preferred rooms at the All-Star Movies resort. Those are found in the Toy Story, Fantasia and 101 Dalmatians sections, the closest buildings to Cinema Hall. The Fantasia buildings are directly behind Cinema Hall, on either side of the Fantasia Pool. The Toy Story buildings are to the left of Cinema Hall, 101 Dalmatians to the right.

Please let us know what else we can do to help you plan your holiday visit to the Walt Disney World resort. Enjoy!
