Hello Moms & Dads, I will traveling with my husband and two kids (ages 7 & 3) in August. I am having a hard time deciding between staying at the Yacht Club Resort, Boardwalk Villas, Saratoga Springs and finally the Poly. Can anyone help me????

    Hi Charlene --

Wow!  Those are some great resorts to choose from -- no matter what decision you make, you're sure to have a wonderful vacation!

With a 7 and 3 year old, I would choose either the Yacht Club or the Polynesian.  The Yacht and Beach Club are two of my FAVORITE resorts for a couple of reasons.  First - location!  From the Yacht Club, you can easily get to the Boardwalk, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios either by walking or taking a quick boat ride.  The second reason is Stormalong Bay, the themed pool at the Yacht Club.  Pool is not really a fair word to describe it -- it's more like a mini water park.  Also, Cape May Cafe has one of my favorite character breakfasts in all of Walt Disney World.

The Polynesian is also a great resort.  The rooms are some of the largest on property and sleep 5.  This is a big plus if you want your two children to have separate beds.  Magic Kingdom and Epcot are just a quick monorail ride away, and the pool area is nicely themed.  The beach area here is also very popular and provides an excellent view of the nightly fireworks display in the Magic Kingdom.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
