Hi Moms and Dads! We will be in WDW for New Years and our 25th Anniversary. Any ideas for some celebration ideas? Maybe watching illuminations from a boat (I've heard about this but can't find any information.) Or desserts / fireworks? Thanks!

    Hey Bill,

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! You picked the perfect place to celebrate such an important milestone!

I've got a few ideas that I think will help with your planning:

#1 - You mentioned a boat ride to view Epcot's presentation of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. I've done that before, and it's an amazing experience! To check availability and pricing, you can call (407) WDW-PLAY.

(You can also book a similar fireworks cruise for the Magic Kingdom's presentation of the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular by calling that same number.)

#2 - You also mentioned a combo fireworks and dessert experience. One of the hottest tickets in town right now is the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. You can book reservations online at DisneyWorld.com or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. If you don't have luck at first, remember the old saying: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Cancellations happen all the time, so be persistent.

#3 - There's no shortage of amazing restaurants at Walt Disney World. For such an occasion, you may want to splurge and snag a reservation at Victoria & Albert's in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Here's a bonus idea from your buddy Derek:

Don't forget that Walt Disney World has a collection of world-class spas as well. Maybe you can surprise your wife with a couple's day of pampering and relaxation??

I hope that helps! If you'd like some additional ideas, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
