Hi Moms (and Dads!) We'll be at WDW in late Nov. and I'd like to surprise my husband with something or some way to celebrate our 16th Anniversary! We hardly ever have time to even acknowledge our Anniversary, let alone do anything special. Any ideas? TY!

    Hello Beth!

The possibilities for a special anniversary surprise are endless at Walt Disney World!

My first suggestion would be a romantic dinner for the two of you.  The California Grill, located at the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort, would be my first choice.  The food is spectacular (if the asparagus soup is on the menu, you must try it!) and the views are incredible.  If you can snag an Advanced Dining Reservation during Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show, you're be in for a real treat.  The restaurant dims the lights and plays the music for the show.  There are even outdoor viewing areas if you wish to get even closer to the magic.

To top off the night, why not order a custom celebration cake?  The bakers at Walt Disney World are truly artists and can create an infinite number of designs.  My friends recently had the pastry chefs recreate their wedding cake in miniature form.  It was unbelievable!  You can contact the custom cake line at 407-827-2253.

For a more laid-back celebration, why not plan a night of strolling around Epcot's World Showcase?  You can visit each country's pavilion for delectable foods and adult beverages.  There's something incredibly romantic about just strolling, talking, eating and drinking without a care in the world.

Another suggestion would be for a spa treatment made for two.  It sounds like you're quite busy and relaxing at the spa with your love could be just the ticket to a perfectly magical anniversary.

I'm out of room, but please come back and see me again if you need any more ideas.  Have a magical day, Beth!
