Hi moms & dads, visting disney(2nd visit) sep 21-30th with my special needs child(10) with MD. I read here we can obtain a special assistance pass. My quest, do we need a note from his doctor to obtain this card?

    Hi Roxanne,

September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World, after the summer crowds have gone, and the parks and resorts enjoy a much more laid back feel.  If your son's disability prevents him from waiting in long lines, you can obtain a Guest Assistance Card (GAC) from Guest Relations at any of the theme parks that will be valid for the duration of your trip in all of the parks.  You do not need to provide a doctor's note.  Simply explain your son's needs and your concerns to the Cast Member who assists you.  A GAC will enable your son and family to access attractions via an alternate entrance.  While it does not eliminate all waiting times, it generally significantly reduces them.

    Have a magical second trip!
