Hi Moms and Dads! We have a vacation planned for January, but for health reasons, I may not be able to go. The vacation is paid in full and I purchased the insurance. Is it possible to get some of the money back or reschedule for a later date? Hassle?

    Hi Andi!

I'm very sorry to hear health problems will prevent you from traveling in January. You have the option of postponing your vacation for a later time. Please call (407) 939-7675 to modify any existing Disney Vacation Package reservation. You will be able to speak with a Cast Member that will assist you with any changes. If at any point you have to cancel the reservation altogether, please note there is a $200 cancellation fee per vacation package. This penalty applies when cancellations are made 44 days or less prior to arrival.

If your Disney Vacation Package included air transportation, you will be responsible for any fees assessed by the airline for airfare. In the case of a non-refundable airline ticket, the cancellation fee is equal to the entire ticket price. Cancellation of a refundable airline ticket must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled airline departure time. If air travel has been ticketed, your will be responsible for any increase in airfare as well as the change fee assessed by the airline.

If you have a Room Only reservation, you can change, or cancel, your reservation without penalty up to five days prior to check-in (or six days for online bookings). Please call (407) 939-7429 to modify or cancel an existing Room Only reservation. Vacation insurance is non-refundable. However, if you are simply postponing your visit to a different time, the change fee is $50 per package.

I'm sending loads of Pixie Dust your way, so the health issues that prevent you from traveling resolve quickly. We look forward to seeing you in the future at the Walt Disney World Resort!
