Hello Moms and Dads! We are staying at POFQ in Sept. I understand we are also allowed to use the pool at Riverside. How long will it take to walk there and is there a slide? Thanks bunches!!!!

It's me again, Jaynee.  I apologize for giving you misinformation!  I'm a huge fan of Port Orleans Riverside and have stayed there several times.  I believed it was fine to swim in the "sister pool" at French Quarter, but I didn't want to give unconfirmed pool-hopping information, so I called Riverside to confirm yesterday and was told (by two separate Cast Members) that guests are not permitted to use the pools at the sister property.  I called back a third time this morning for clarification from a supervisor and was told that guests are indeed permitted to swim in the pools at the sister resort.  So, long story short, you are more than welcome to use the pool at Riverside.  There is a great slide along with lots of waterfalls and a kiddie pool adjacent to the large main pool.  The walk along Sassagoula River to Port Orleans Riverside should take you fifteen-twenty minutes.  Enjoy your pool time!
