    Hi Moms & Dads! I have a really burning question--I am looking at AK park calendar for Sept. How is it possible that the park closes at 5:00 but there are scheduled performances of Festival of the Lion King at 5:45?? Highly confused in CO

    Hi Carrie,

    I see what you mean and I suspect that this is being caused by a glitch in the online system.

    My family have travelled to Walt Disney World in September many times in the past and Disney's Animal Kingdom has always closed at 5pm.

    Festival of the Lion King is one of my absolute favourite shows and I would highly recommend that you plan to watch one of the earlier performances scheduled to take place on the day of your visit to avoid disappointment.
