Hi Moms & Dads Panel! We're staying at POR (first time @ WDW) in Nov and plan to pay for the room with a Disney Gift Card. That said, I'm sure we'll need to provide a credit card upon check-in for incidentals. How much is "held" on the cc?

Hi Abel, You will only have to provide a credit card if you want charging privileges on your account. The pre-set charging limit for the Moderate Resorts is $1,000.00 and the pre-authorization will be made on your credit card for this amount. If you reach that amount, then it will be charged to your card. Your card will not be charged anything until your check-out date if there is any balance owing (unless your charging privilege amount has been reached as stated before). You may want to make sure that you have paid for your room with your gift cards before your check-out date arrives (as you are planning to do) as sometimes they will automatically charge your credit card (if on file) the night before check-out, just so you are aware of this. You can also ask a supervisor to have your charging privilege amount lowered if you do not want it set that high, but usually you need to speak with a supervisor to have this done for you. I wish you a very magical trip to WDW. Best wishes, Brigitta
