Hi Moms and dads! Just ordered a couple of starter pin sets for my DS age 5. Is there anything specific I should know about pin trading in WDW? We've never done it before, but it sounds fun. Thanks!

    Hi Tamra!

My son, 4, is just getting into pin trading at Walt Disney World.  He just trades for pins he likes and thinks it's a fun activity to do at the parks.  Having a starter set is a great idea!  If your son ends up with all pins he wants to keep and you need to purchase more, look for the least expensive pins to buy since you will be trading them away anyway.

You can ask any cast member wearing a pin lanyard or a pin holder around their waste to look at their pins.  Don't feel obligated to trade with everyone you see, there are plenty more cast members with pins for you.

    Happy trading!
