Hello Moms and Dads! 4 months and counting till we are at Disney!! This is our 1st experience w/DP and Im a bit confused. We arrive on 5/6/but dont hit the parks till 5/7. Is the DP for the entire visit or just the days at the parks? Thanks!

    Hi Eva!

4 months is going to fly by!

I just love the Disney Dining Plan.  The more things that are taken care of before I leave home, the better!  The Disney Dining Plan is for your entire length of stay with your resort package and has nothing to do with your park days.  You can start using your dining credits on your arrival date all the way up until midnight on the day you depart.  Your credits are based on the number of nights you are staying, not days, so if you are staying three nights and are on the basic dining plan, you will get 3 quick service meals and 3 table service meals.  You can divvy those up any way you'd like.  For example, if you want to eat all three of your table service meals in one day, you certainly can!  But, you will be out of those credits for the rest of your trip.  Basically, you don't have to stick to one quick service and one table service per day.  You will receive a detailed receipt telling you how many meals in total you have left after every meal where you use your dining plan, so it's super simple to keep track of.

Do you have more questions about the Disney Dining Plan?  I'd be happy to help with anything else you are curious about.

Have a magical day and Happy New Year!
