Moms and Dads, Love the panel! 2 questions - can I use an ECV on the boat from Fort Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom and does Fort Wilderness have a dedicated bus line to the parks like Art of Animation does (narrowed down to A of A or FW Cabin)?

Hi Rochelle! I spend a lot of time at Fort Wilderness as we have a motor coach and love to drive down and bring our four legged family members.

You can use an ECV on the larger boats to the Magic Kingdom. You cannot use one on the smaller boats that take you to the Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary Resort. You would have to go to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to the monorail or bus from there. The boats run similar to the buses and will depart every 15-20 minutes. The Magic Kingdom boats begin 30 minutes before the park opens.

The bus system for Fort Wilderness is a mix. Generally it is a dedicated bus to the parks but you might share with Wilderness Lodge from the parks. A lot of this depends on the time of year and crowds. To get around inside Fort Wilderness you can enjoy the walking or take an internal bus.

This is a very unique resort as you will find the atmosphere very quiet and peaceful versus other resorts on property. The smell of the pine trees and the frequent sightings of the deer and turkey offer treats to the guests. It is also home for the great Hoop Dee Doo and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue dining events as well as Chip and Dale's Campfire nightly Singalong! Other perks for this resort include the horseback riding and the stables that are home to the draft horses used in the Magic Kingdom and the cute white ponies used to pull Cinderella's coach. There is a marina where you can rent the fun Sea Raycers or a pontoon boat or book a fireworks cruise or a fishing excursion. Every night about 9:45pm you can also watch the long standing Electric Water Parade from the beach. The Magic Kingdom fireworks can also be seen at that location.

It is always a tough decision about picking a resort and I can just say you can't go wrong no matter where you land for your vacation!
