Hi Moms (and Dads)! Love the panel. What would be the best park for older teens to tour alone? Thanks.

    Hi Lisa,

My oldest daughter (18) brought her best friend on our last trip. I let them go off by themselves, so I just asked her opinion for you. She told me that while she likes all four Parks, either Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom were their top ones to tour. It depends on what your teens enjoy the most.

They enjoyed Hollywood Studios for the 2 thrill rides: Rock 'n Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. However, they weren't into sitting through the shows, so they pretty much just kept riding those 2 rides over and over. Other teens, however, may really enjoy the shows. Boys in particular like the stunt shows: Indiana Jones and Lights, Motors, Action- Extreme Stunt Show.

At Animal Kingdom, they rode Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur and the Kilimanjaro Safari several times each. They also really enjoyed just walking around the trails and checking out the animals.

Being a teenager,  her opinion (and mood) changes like the weather. So, she also clarified that:

At Epcot, they rode Test Track, Mission: Space and Soarin' the most, but they also spent time on the "slower" attractions like Spaceship Earth, The Seas with Nemo and Friends and more. In addition, they found some of the countries to be interesting.

At the Magic Kingdom, they found the "Triple Mountains" to be their favorites: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain.

While she wasn't decisive in picking one "favorite", she is confident that you can't go wrong and teens will find several things at each Park that they enjoy.

Have you considered letting them go to a Water Park together? Either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon is sure to be a hit with them!

    Hope this helps,
