Hi moms and dads! Love you all :) The last time I went on Kali River Rapids (2008), I seem to remember a plastic waterproof dome in the middle of the raft to put purses and bags so they wouldn't get wet. Do the rafts still have these? Thanks a bunch!

Hi Katie!  We love you, too!

Your memory serves you well!  On Kali River Rapids in the Animal Kingdom, there is an area in the center of the raft with a plastic, zippered "pouch" in which guests can place their items to help protect them from the DRENCHING you are going to get on this ride!

However, as the day goes on, this protected area has a tendency to get wet, too, and your items may not stay as dry as you had hoped.  So, my recommendation is to pack a large plastic bag, like a garbage bag or 2 gallon zippered storage baggie, to place your items in before you put them in this protective area.

Have a great time riding the rapids in Walt Disney World!
