Hi, Julie! A bunch of us from the Moms Panel all joined together to run the Expedition Everest 5K last fall. It was so much fun! There was so much energy and excitement!
I am totally not a runner, but I did do the 5K. The experience levels run from Expert down to those of us who walked. There was a group of us who took the back of the pack of runners and walked a quick pace. Even walking, we were able to complete the 5K in about 45 - 50 minutes (and it was a complete rainstorm/downpour/mess, but that is another story!)
I definitely suggest sticking with the 5K until you can build up to the half marathon. My husband and I are doing the Royal Family 5K in March, and a whole group of Disney Moms are running the Disney Princess Half marathon, so I look forward to seeing you there!
