Hi Moms and Dads. Getting excited for our trip the first week of January! We have never played mini-golf at WDW, but we'd like to. Which course do you recommend and how do you get there? I know they don't have buses. Thanks!

    Hi Casey,

I bet you are getting excited for your upcoming trip in 2014! I'm glad to hear that you are going to be trying some of the extra activities on property other than just the theme parks. The miniature golf courses are super fun and a great way to take a break from the crowds at the theme parks and enjoy some family time in a setting just as magical.

While both are really fun and equally entertaining, I love Winter Summerland for its unique theming. Where else can you play miniature golf in the Florida sun amongst the frosty setting of winter and the holidays all year long? There are two different courses - Summer Course (think Christmas in Florida) and Winter Course (imagine "snow" covered putting greens and snowmen).

To get here from your resort, you can take the bus to Blizzard Beach and the entrance to the course is off to the right of the main entrance to the water park. If you decide to go to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways, you would take need to head to the Swan hotel and simply walk across the street (pathway is marked by helpful signs). You will probably need to make a transfer from your hotel via Downtown Disney.

Have a great time putting your way to the magic.
