Hi Moms & Dads. Our family is visiting Disney World this Thanksgiving weekend& will have 3 park days(11/28,29 & 12/1). Any advice on which parks to visit on which day? We want to visit MK, HS & Epcot. Thanks!

    Hi Lourdes!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip and thank you for visiting us at Disney Parks Moms Panel. Walt Disney World around the holiday season is such a magical time of year to visit, the festive decorations and lights just add to the spirit of the season.  Thanksgiving weekend is a very popular time to visit, but a little planning and preparation can make all the difference.

Based on the dates that you are visiting here are my recommendations for each day of your trip:

    November 28th Epcot 9am-9pm
    November 29th Magic Kingdom 9am-10pm
December 1st Hollywood Studios 9am-8pm Extra Magic Hours until 10pm

While Magic Kingdom would be ideal to visit on Thanksgiving, the fact is that I find the size of the crowds compared to the size of the park itself makes for a lot of gridlock situations.  Out of the three parks that you are visiting, Epcot has the most space to allow guests a little more leg room to help with the extra crowd level.

When visiting during a busy time of year such as Thanksgiving, it's important to have a game plan of sorts to keep you from spending hours waiting in line.  I highly suggest to arrive at each parks opening and visit some of your must do or very popular attractions first.  Also, FastPass is your best friend and I would use it as often as possible.  Certain attractions will with out a doubt have lengthy wait times very early.  For example, I would designate one person in your party as the FastPass picker upper.  This person can go pick up the FastPasses for the entire group, while they head towards another attraction. Using this strategy can be a great way to save time, especially first thing in the morning.

I hope this was helpful and please let me know if you need anymore help planning your Thanksgiving visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical time!
