    Hi Moms and Dads! 1st family trip to WDW 12/31/11-1/5/12! SO EXCITED! Wondering when will the Christmas decorations be taken down? I was hoping that we could start at MK in its holiday gear, and head back once more before departing to see it "normal"

    Hi Rebecca:

    Although always subject to change, Christmas and Holiday decorations tend to stay up for about a week or so after the Christmas holiday. A few days into the new year, the decorations are taken down quickly but in stages. For example, you may see the holiday tree removed from the Magic Kingdom, but the holiday tree stay up at your Resort for a day or two longer (or vice versa). So during your visit, you'll likely start to notice fewer and fewer Holiday decorations each day. However, I'm unable to provide any set schedule for decoration removal.
