Hi Moms (Dads), we will be driving to Disney from Clermont. It seems to be very close, but I'm wondering how long the Disney traffic generally takes to actually get into the park. Does it get backed up? We'll probably leave Clermont about 7 am.

    Hi there Libby!

I checked online to see exactly where Clermont, Florida was from Walt Disney World and it seems to be around 24 miles away from the City Center to Magic Kingdom. That being said, there isn't a real direct way to get to Walt Disney World so I would expect the drive to take at least forty-five minutes. Also remember, that since you are going to be staying away from the resort, expect regular local traffic during the week from people heading off to work in the mornings and back home in the evenings. Traffic flow around Walt Disney World has always been relatively smooth everytime I have taken my own vehicle. There is a wonderful mass transit system available for Walt Disney World guests which takes a good bit of the congestion away.

I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
