Hi Moms & Dads! This Dec my bf and I are going to Disney, we wanted to know if the dining plan is worth the value for 2 college students. Last time we ate mostly counter service. We are staying at a Value but its a special offer, can I still use the pl

    Hello Emily,

I think it's great that you and your boyfriend are taking a break from school and visiting Disney World together!

I am a HUGE fan of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). I like the traditional "Dining Plan" which has one table service and one quick service meal and one snack for each night of your stay. For my family, this is a perfect opportunity to experience restaurants and taste foods we never would have been able to try! So if you have an offer for the DDP and know of some fabulous restaurants you've been wanting to hit, I say go for it!

But if you know you and your boyfriend will truly only eat at quick service restaurants, then just stick with that you know. You don't want to waste the DDP entitlements for a sit down meal that you won't use.

    Hope this helps!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
