    Aloha Tracy,

You must be so excited!  Only 67 days until the magic begins for your family.  That's awesome!

I love your idea of including a day resting at your home resort during the middle of your vacation.  That's a fabulous way for your family to relax and re-charge before your last few days exploring the Disney theme parks.

Renting a poolside cabana at Disney's Polynesian Resort would be the ultimate in luxury.  Whether it's worth the money to rent that cabana for half a day or a whole day, though, is really a personal decision.  I think there are plenty of great lounge chairs near the Nanea Volcano Pool.  I wouldn't consider a cabana a necessary part of an indulgent day spent poolside.  I'm sure others would disagree.  Ultimately, that will be your family's decision.  Check out the review of the cabanas at www.tikimanpages.com.  Perhaps after reading their description your decision will be easier.

If the decision were up to me, I'd book a private fireworks cruise instead.  That's where my family likes to splurge while on vacation at Walt Disney World.

Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel!
