Hello Moms and Dads! 18 days and counting for our stay at Ft. Wilderness Cabins. Looking for a suggestion on best cabin or loop for husband, two grandmothers, 4 yr boy, 2 yr boy and I? Thanks a million!

Hi Wendy!  We have now stayed in three different cabin loops at Walt Disney's Fort Wilderness and I honestly can't say I have a favorite.  It is a very subjective thing and will depend on what is more important to you and your family.

Loop 2100 will be the closest loop to the center of the property.  Any cabin in this loop is about half way from the entrance and the marina.  Walking is possible but you will most likely still want to catch the internal buses to get to all points.  Loop 2800 is the closest loop to the Fort Wilderness entrance where you find the main bus area to all parks.  This is close enough to walk to but a long walk if you have stayed in parks all day and are tired!  One of the biggest loops is 2700 where you can find over 70 cabins. This is the loop for our last stay and it was quite quiet and peaceful and we loved our location.  The smallest loop is 2300 which has about 30 cabins.  You won't find as much traffic in a small loop and if you have children who might be outside sometimes playing this is a great loop for you.

Enjoy your cabin stay. If you are planning on any meals in the cabin I would like to suggest a great resource for you to get some groceries delivered right to you. In fact the last few trips our order was not only in the cabin but all perishables were put away!  Please check out gardengrocer.com.  You can purchase your choices on line from their extensive lists and choose a delivery date and time and like magic it is there!

    Have a magical Disney vacation!
