Hi Moms and Dads! I was checking the BOG lunch menu. Looks yummy, but can you please tell me what "béchamel" and "pommes frites" are? Do you know if I can place a gluten free order on the kiosk? Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Jaynee,

I can tell you that the lunch menu at Be Our Guest is as yummy as it looks!

It sounds as if you are worried about gluten, both in the familiar and in the unfamiliar items, so I will do my best to help. Bechamel is a white sauce made with butter, flour, milk and seasonings. Pomme frites are french fries with a French name.

You can note your allergies and some special dietary needs at the touchscreen kiosks when you order lunch and any items that contain problem ingredients will disappear from your list of options. I don't recall if gluten-free is one of the choices, but as I recall, wheat is. If you have any difficulties, there are cast members available to offer assistance or to place your order for you at a regular register.

Detailed nutritional and allergen information is available at the Be Our Guest menu online. Simply click "Show Detail" under each item. Each notes whether it contains milk, wheat, soy, corn, tree nuts and ingredients that commonly cause difficulties for guests. Studying that list may give you more insight into what you can eat at Be Our Guest.

Take note that there is a gluten-free cream puff for dessert!

I hope that adequately answers your question. Be Our Guest really is beautiful and a must-see at Magic Kingdom, so I'm sending good wishes that you will be able to enjoy the food there. Please let me know if I can do anything else to assist.
