    Moms and Dad-Etiquette ?-hoping someone can help or has been in similar situations with kids. Our kids do not always drink with meals, maybe a sip/gulp or 2 and that's it. However, 10 minutes after lving they are "thirsty". Can we ask for drinks

    Hi Paula!

    I think all parents can understand where you're coming from!

    I'm not sure of the ages of your children, but on our last trip our servers always brought my daughter her drinks in a to go cup with a lid. It could have been because she was quite young, but I wouldn't hesitate to ask for your kids' drinks this way. When you order your drinks just ask the server to put the children's drinks in a cup with a lid, and it shouldn't be a problem. Not only can you take the drinks with you after your meal in case your kids get thirsty later, you won't have to worry about any spills at the table.
