Hi Moms & Dad! You're my daily reading! :) ? - I just noticed I can rent a GPS unit for my son. He's 2 1/2 & doesn't really run away, but u never know. Has anyone rented one b4, or am I being paranoid? I was lost once & didn't like it at all.

    Hi Jill,

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, we love answering questions so it's nice to hear that you enjoy reading the answers!

I totally understand your concern.  I will never forget the time my brother and I were lost in a theme park, it was incredibly scary.

I do not think you are being paranoid, and the simple fact that you are thinking about this shows that you will be prepared.  Although I never considered renting a GPS unit, I have purchased the identification wrist bands to write my cell phone number on for this purpose, thankfully they have never been utilized.  If you do a quick Google search there are a lot of tools that can be used to provide information about your child in the event they are lost.  I've seen shoe tags, lanyards, tatoos, shirt labels and many others.  Whatever you choose, the most important thing is for it to be recognizable as an identification/contact information tag to a cast member.   They will not look inside their clothing, and if your child doesn't know what or where the tag is for that it won't be helpful.

I also found at this age that not only I felt more comfortable, but my kids felt more comfortable riding in a stroller.   The crowds and masses of people can be intimidating to a little one, so the stroller gives them the feeling of security that they won't be separated from you...and you know exactly where they are.

    Hope this helps!
