    Hi Moms and Dad! We are going to WDW in May, the first time for my 2 year old! We have ADR at chef mikey's for dinner one night. How much time should we allow for the monorail from MK to the contemprary to make our res?

    Hi Tamra!  My favorite character dining experience is dinner at Chef Mickey's!!!  Your two year old will love the array of characters at this meal.

    When you take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom, the first stop is the Contemporary resort. Make sure you are in the RESORT monorail line when leaving the park.  The actual ride is about 5 minutes at most but do plan time for waiting for the next monorail etc. at the station.  Once you are at the Contemporary you are practically at the restaurant!

    I always suggest guests arrive about 10-15 minutes before their reservation time.  If you leave the Magic Kingdom about 30 minutes early you can get there in a relaxed fashion and probably time to have a restroom break as well.

    One last idea.....there is a nice path that connects the Contemporary resort to the Magic Kingdom.  You head to the bus depot area and continue on past to the hotel. If you have questions any cast member can direct you.
