Hi moms and dad! Will be visiting week after Christmas with ds (7 and 9). Can you tell me if there are any New Year's Eve celebrations planned or how you would recommed bringing in the New Year at Disney?

Diana my two favorite spots for bringing in the New Year at Walt Disney World is the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT!  The Magic Kingdom is more children friendly as no alcohol is served in the park.  The fireworks that night are spectacular and there is a festive mood and partying all day!  Caution to you is that this park fills quickly that day and they often have to close it due to the fact it fills to capacity so if you want to enjoy your time here get there early and stay!  Check with your resort cast members for their latest information on the crowds.

EPCOT is my favorite but I enjoy walking around the World Showcase and seeing how the other countries celebrate. Since their midnights are different from ours you will hear cheers and shouts at different times in the various pavilions.  This park does serve alcohol so this might alter your thoughts when you have younger children with you.

Always check with your resort concierge or front desk for the latest announcements about holidays.  Disney can change things fast and it is hard to keep up and definitely they will change from year to year.
