My dad is a Vietnam veteran and wants to send his grand son to Walt Disney world for his graduation ..can my dad purchase those tickets with the military discount or does he have to be present when getting tickets ?

Your dad's service makes him one of our heroes, Amy. My planDisney panelist friends and I salute his service and sacrifice. I definitely understand his desire to extend a graduation gift to his grandson. What a kind gesture!

The Military Promotional Tickets do offer an exceptional value to eligible Guests. It sounds like you're familiar with the details regarding eligibility, activation and usage of those tickets. One of the requirements is that the eligible service member is present to activate the tickets. If your father does purchase the tickets as a gift, he would need to accompany his grandson to activate the tickets in person. That certainly gives your dad an excellent excuse to tag along, doesn't it?

If it turns out that your dad can't make the trip, he may consider checking out some of the other special offers that are available. Sometimes these discounts can save a family hundreds of dollars on a hotel stay within the Disney Resorts Collection or on theme park admission.

I hope I've helped steer you in the right direction, Amy. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to answer your question!
