Hi, dad is a veteran and can purchase discounted tickets at the base. This year he will not be coming to Disneyland with us, he still wants to purchase the tickets for us. My question is, can we redeem the tickets at the gate even if my dad is not present?

Hello Rocio and thank you for taking the time to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Also a great, big thank you to your father for serving our country!

From my understanding, the military personnel (or spouse) must present the military ID to purchase the vouchers at the base, then take the voucher to Guest Relations to convert them to actual tickets. While your father does not need come to Disneyland with you during your trip, he (or his spouse) must be present when the voucher is converted, which can be any time prior to your arrival. Valid admission dates for 2016 using the U.S. Military Promotional Tickets are: January 3 through March 19, and April 2 through December 19.

I hope this helps with planning your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have further questions for me, please stop by the Panel again!

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
