Thank you for your question Danae, and welcome to planDisney! First and foremost, thank you for your dad's service! We are so grateful! I am so happy that you want to begin planning a trip to Walt Disney World! It truly is the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I think you all will have the most wonderful time!
Danae, I noticed you said your father is a full disability veteran, which means he should qualify for
military rates at Disney resorts as well as tickets! As a disabled veteran, he will need to bring a valid I.D. and I would also bring paperwork from the VA identifying your father as a 100% disabled veteran. You have the option to purchase
military rate tickets at the nearest military base to you, or you also have the option to purchase from
Shades of Green. Once you get your vouchers, you can link them to your Disney account on the My Disney Experience app, but keep those exchange certificates! Once you arrive at Walt Disney World, you will have to stop at Guest Relations at any of the four theme parks, or you can visit Guest Relations at Disney Springs. There, they will ask for your father's military I.D. to activate the tickets. This is a one-time thing, so you will not have to do this at each park you visit. At Guest Relations, you will also have the option to purchase Memory Maker, which is the collection of all the photos you take, whether it's from a ride, or family photos in front of Cinderella Castle! My family has gotten some incredible photos over the years, I definitely recommend purchasing! Another important piece of information is to make sure your dad is present when activating the tickets!
Danae, I hope my information has helped you today! If you have any questions, at any time, feel free to ask me, I will be more than happy to help you! Happy planning!
