    Hi Moms & Dad!! We are traveling to WDW in Sept and will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We plan on attending Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, but we are not sure about the best way to get there & how far in advance we should leave.

    The quickest and easiest way to get there, Nicole, would be to take a taxi.  Driving time would be about 20 minutes.

    If a taxi isn't feasible, then your second best bet would be to take a bus from the Lodge to the Animal Kingdom theme park.  Once you are there, find the bus for the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  You should allow about an hour if you choose to use this transportation option.  Have a great time kickin' up your heels with Mickey!
