Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cassandra! Please tell your Dad thank you for his service; it’s folks like him that do so much for our country! When I travel with my Coast Guard brother to Walt Disney World, he takes advantage of the
Military Offer for Park Tickets, so I’ll be happy to share our process with you!
My brother is usually so excited to get together he usually bypasses his local U.S. military base ticket office and heads straight for the
Shades of Green ticket desk (the only place on WDW property the tickets can be purchased). With a valid military ID, any spouse of, active, or retired military member (National Guard, Reserves, U.S. Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the PHS, and the Commissioned Corps of the NOAA) may purchase up to 6 tickets for themselves and family members (1 of the tickets must be used by the military member). As long as your Dad brings a photo ID and a valid military ID, that should be enough to secure his tickets. Pay attention to the expiration dates for your Military Salute tickets, as this year, they will expire on 12/19/17.
Golf is not included in any vacation packages, but there are
4 gorgeous golf courses that boast a military discount and online advance reservations. My brother and Dad loved tee-ing off for some fun! All your Dad will need to check-in is that same military ID. While you’re booking your vacation, grab the military discounts for Memory Maker and
Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms for added savings and more magic! Let me know if I can be of help, because you have a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
