My dad did the reservation. But he’s not great with tech. Can he add me as a guest and could I make dining reservations or get Lightning passes?

Hey there, Hugo thanks for stopping by planDisney. Teamwork is essential for a successful trip so it sounds like this father-son duo is already on the right path.

Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is half the fun in this planner's mind. Whether your plans are for a full week to stay at one of the Disney Resorts Collection or a quick weekend trip with family. Making sure you have all your Donald's in a row is important. The My Disney Experience App is where most of my planning goes down. Before your trip, it is a must to download that app. This is truly my favorite tool to help plan my trip before, during, and even after my visit. Sharing plans inside of the app is what you will need to do. If your father does not have a sign-in, you can create one and add the confirmation number or resort reservation. You both should have it so the plans can be shared between the two of you. Once your father adds you to his "Family & Friends List" inside of the app, he can then assign tickets to your account. Simply push on the blue "+ Add a Guest." Inside that section and he can add you by scanning your linking code, or find through connected guests. From there he would indicate to "share plans" so you can take control and add Advanced Dining Reservations or Lightning Lane Reservations using Disney Genie+ Service. This app will show you current wait times, restroom locations, and showtimes amongst other things.

I love a good sit-down meal like any other person. But I gladly sign up to be my own waiter while EPCOT is hosting one of the festivals available during the year. Your stay in August should include a visit to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. In its second week while you are visiting, I always highly recommend not missing these festivals for many reasons. There are so many times I sit down at a restaurant and am torn between two or three dishes to order from, and it sometimes can be hard to choose. This festival will be lined with Global Marketplaces so you can savor dishes from around the World Showcase. These booths are stocked with food selections that always have a special beverage to pair with them. Each plate is about a third of a real dish at a restaurant but you can sample multiple dishes and get your fill. No choosing between this dish or that dish, or bargaining off portions of your meal to family members. You get to eat what choose what you think looks fantastic. By the way, all of it always looks and tastes fantastic. The Eat to the Beat Concert Series Presented by Florida Blue Medicare has new and classic artists gracing the concert stage each week. Check out who will be playing using the link.

Soon you will be packing up and heading out to "The Most Magical Place on Earth." If you have any other needs please don't hesitate to ask me a question. I will be happy to help you find your way.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
