My dad is planning a trip to Disney in a couple weeks but recently broke his leg. Are there any accommodations offered? Are there scooters available? Is he able to bring his own leg scooter to the parks? Thank you so much in advance!

    Hiya, pal! Welcome to planDisney.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's recent injury. I'm happy to answer your questions and provide important information for your dad's upcoming visit.

Beginning with Mobility Devices, the Disneyland Resort has Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) available for rent at the Stroller Shop. It is located just east of the main entrance of Disneyland Park. Guests are also welcome to bring their own wheeled mobility devices, so long as they have three or more wheels and do not exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.

In regards to accommodations, the Disneyland Resort offers a variety of programs and services that assist Guests in accessing queues. Below are just a few of the many options available to assist Guests in accessing attraction queues:

    • Location Return Time: Cast Members at the entrance of certain attractions within Disneyland Park may issue a location return time to accommodate persons with physical restrictions who are unable to access some of the queues, which may not be accessible with a mobility device. Please note that location return times are not available at Disney California Adventure Park.
    • Single Rider: Available to all Guests who do not mind separating from their party to experience select attractions. The single rider queue is often shorter than the standby queue. To access the designated single rider queue, please inquire with the Cast Member at the attraction entrance.
    • Virtual Queue: Complimentary service available via the Disneyland App that provides access to select attractions. Currently, there is one virtual queue available, and it is for Haunted Mansion Holiday. If your dad is interested in experiencing this attraction, I recommend visiting the Virtual Queue webpage in preparation for his visit.
I also encourage your dad to visit the Accessibility Services Kiosk before entering the Theme Parks. Through a one-on-one conversation, Cast Members can provide more information about the programs above, including how they work, and if a Guest is eligible for certain services.

Lastly, your dad will want to have the Disneyland App. It will be essential for his visit. He can use it to enter the parks, manage his attraction return times, place Mobile Orders for food and drinks, and so much more.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to visit us again. We are always available to help!

    Your Pal,
