Hi Quinn!
Welcome to planDisney!
I am quite familiar with Multiple Sclerosis and how it affects the individual who has it. My immediate family member has MS, and we have been met with some of the same challenges each visit, but with a little bit of planning and planned breaks, you can make your vacation truly enjoyable for everyone.
Walt Disney World Resort has fantastic
Disney bus transportation to use when it is not feasible to walk to the theme parks. Some resorts are closer to the individual theme parks than others; for example,
Disney's Contemporary Resort would be within walking distance to
Magic Kingdom Park, or if you wanted to visit
EPCOT, you could enjoy a stay at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. As far as
Extra Magic Hours for guests of Disney Resorts, it is temporarily suspended.
To assist with your dad's mobility, you can
rent an ECV when you visit the theme parks. But you can also utilize the services of the Disney Featured Provider Scooterbug dot com to rent an ECV that you will be able to use in the theme parks and anywhere you would like to go during your stay.
I do not doubt that your dad and the rest of your family will have the best time. Please let us know if you have additional questions, as we would love to help you continue to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Have a magical vacation!
Raquel
