Cody from OK Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My dad is military and wants to gift us discounted tickets from base for our Christmas Disneyland trip. Will he need to be present for us to use the tickets? The verbiage is not listed on Disneyland’s website like on Disney World’s.

Hi there, Cody! With just a few short weeks until your visit, I bet you're already daydreaming about strolling through Disneyland Park with a churro in hand. Maybe you're heading to Tomorrowland to launch into space, or Fantasyland to spin in a teacup, or how about Critter Country to make a splash! Actually, yes, let's stop by Critter Country and hop in a beehive to find the answer to your question while we glide through The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

It's a good thing we're heading inside from this blustery day! As we make our way through the Hundred Acre Wood, I'm happy to tell you that there are two types of tickets offered to active and retired US Military personnel. The first is the 3-day and 4-day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets. These tickets require that the active military member be one of the ticket holders and also present at the time of entry. The second option is the standard theme park tickets that are offered on base at a discount. These tickets would not require your Dad or a military member to be with you when you scan into the parks. It sounds like this second option is likely the case for you, so there won't be any rain rain rain coming down down down down on your holiday visit!

While you're enjoying the parks, the best way to avoid rumbly in anyone's tumbly is to Mobile Order any meals and snacks. This is absolutely one of my favorite features in the Disneyland Mobile App. You can even order a few hours ahead of time for a specific window later in the day. Some of my favorite mobile order locations are Mint Julep Bar for the quintessential Mickey Beignets, Flo's V8 Cafe for that view of Radiator Springs Racers, and Hungry Bear Restaurant right here in Critter Country! I definitely worked up an appetite floating through those Heffalumps and Woozles, did you? Lucky for us, dreaming of honey can be a reality. The Honey Funnel Cake at Hungry Bear is an absolute must!

Oh, bother, Cody. It looks like our beehive has made its way through the Hundred Acre Wood. While our time has come to an end, please know that we are always here for you at planDisney
