Hello, Erin!
Disney Cruise Line has something for everyone, but I’d say that they do an exceptional job entertaining kids. The youth spaces are incredible! I’m happy to share my experiences with you.
You can register your children, ages 3 to 12, for
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab during Online Check-in. Your junior sailors will receive their Oceaneer Band to enter the youth clubs when you arrive at the cruise terminal – that’s it; they are ready to play! Tweens have their own space to meet other cruisers in
Edge, and Teens can chill out in
Vibe. There’s no preregistration required for the tween and teen spaces.
When exploring the ship on the first day, stop by the youth clubs during Open House hours to meet the counselors and investigate these interactive spaces together. When secure programming begins, grown-ups are politely “kicked out,” and the kids take over. To pick up your children from the youth clubs, each authorized Guest must provide a secret word and Key to the World card. Don’t be surprised if your children are disappointed to leave the youth spaces. Based on experience, a trip to Deck 9 for a soft-serve ice cream cone always turns a frown into a smile.
The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will list all the activities happening in the clubs. Best of all, your children can favorite the programming they want to attend. While they learn to become an Avenger or create artistic masterpieces, you’ll have time to explore the adult-exclusive areas on board. I like to head to the
Quiet Cove Pool and relax with a book in a comfy lounge chair overlooking the ocean.
I hope the months pass by quickly and you’re enjoying the salty sea air soon!
SEAS the adventure!
