Hi Stuart, welcome to planDisney!
The magic of
Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration is calling and you've chosen a great time to answer. The
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival recently kicked off and pairs nicely with a ride on the thrilling new
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction, which can currently be accessed via a
virtual queue or as an
Individual Lightning Lane purchase.
Most wholly unused theme park tickets can be reassigned online
or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app. I recently reassigned a ticket to my husband in the My Disney Experience app by clicking the three small lines at the bottom right of the home page, "Tickets and Passes," then scrolling to the desired ticket and clicking the "Reassign Ticket" underneath. You can reassign a ticket to anyone on your Family and Friends list.
Online, look for the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu that appears to the right of an individual ticket.
Since I understand the ticket that needs to be reassigned is currently assigned to your mother's My Disney Experience account, Stuart, she's the one who should be able to reassign the ticket. In my case, the "Reassign Ticket" option disappeared for me as soon as I reassigned the ticket to my husband, but that option now appears on his account. If your mom and girlfriend are not already connected as Family and Friends, have your mom select "+ Add a Guest," "I'll enter their name and age," and "Share Planning with this Guest" during the reassignment process. Kindly note that the last selection only appears after an individual's age has been added. Don't forget to book your
theme park reservations, which are also required for theme park entry.
I hope this information helps you maximize the magic on your upcoming trip, Stuart. If you have any more trip-planning questions,
you know where to find us!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
