I am currently starting the planning process of our first DW vaca. and all the questions I have are making my head spin. First of all I would love to participate in the Halloween activities, but during this time will it have an effect on the water rides?

    Hello Amy!
Planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort can certainly cause more dizziness than the Mad Tea Party attraction. So much to see! So much to do!

By far, my favorite time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort is during the autumn when you can enjoy Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. The weather is splendid in the Autumn. This year we went in October and it was in the low 80's during the day and it never got cooler than the upper 60's at night. We enjoyed careening down the five story Chick-A-Pin Hill on Splash Mountain even though we got soaked! Even the water parks at the Walt Disney World Resort are open year round. No matter what the weather, all of the resort pools are heated for your splashing comfort.

So, if you are interested in celebrating Halloween with my favorite mouse I say "Do it!"

    See ya real soon,
    Anne
