I currently have SoCal resident tickets. Unfortunately, I have to cancel my reservations and the next available dates we can go is actually in 2023. When do our tickets expire? Can I wait until 2023 to use my current tickets to purchase new tickets?

Hi Ryan, welcome back to planDisney!

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to cancel your current theme park reservations. I'll do my best to outline your options!

The Southern California Resident Weekday Ticket must be used by May 26, 2022. But as you're unable to use the tickets until 2023, per Disney's eTicket Terms & Conditions, any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets (except for special event tickets or tickets purchased from a third party), can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket in equal or greater value to what was paid for the original ticket. So don't worry, you're covered and good to go!

To upgrade your tickets, you can either visit the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booths or give the Disneyland Resort Ticket Line at 714-781-4636. The fantastic Cast Members should be able to help you out!

I really do hope that your circumstances change for the better and you find time in 2022 to visit the Disneyland Resort. Lots of exciting experiences are returning in 2022! The Disneyland Resort is bringing back its nighttime spectaculars on April 22, 2022, with the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks returning to Disneyland Park, and World of Color returning to Disney California Adventure Park! AND, just announced today, as early as April 18, 2022, the Disneyland Resort will be reintroducing the traditional character meet and greets! This means at long last, you can once again give Mickey and his Pals hugs, get autographs from the Disney princesses, and create those special moments again!

    See ya real soon!
