Ahoy Sonia!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love hearing from our favorite guest’s time and again.
Planning for a Walt Disney World Resort stay before a
cruise is music to my ears! I can’t think of a better way to vacation than by enjoying a
Land and Sea trip. This type of holiday allows the best of both worlds. One in which you can play hard at the parks and then come together as a family to enjoy a nice relaxing cruise vacation.
While it is often possible to add on the Disney Dining Plan to a room only reservation, it is usually a bit tricky, and I’ll explain why.
Disney Dining plans are only available as part of a
Disney Resort Hotel Packages. So, when adding any of the Dining Plans and Theme Park Tickets, this technically takes your room-only reservation and converts it to a “package.” The Cast Member that will assist you will have to do some back-end work to make that conversion. On one of my trips, I decided about a week prior to my vacation to add the Disney Dining Plan. I called in to make the change and did have to wait for quite some time while the Cast Member assisting me worked out the logistics with Guest Services. In the end, it all worked out, but had I known in advance that there was a lot of back-end work and adjusting to be done, I would have just booked it as a package from the beginning. I would highly suggest that if you know that you will be adding one of the delicious Dining Plans to your stay, that you do it when you add your
Theme Park Tickets.
I hope that you have a fun and relaxing time! I’m sure that you will make memories that will keep you smiling for years to come!
