I currently have reservations to stay in Port Oleans Riverside with 2 adults, 3 kids. It is a moderate resort but I was wondering if my kids, ages 6, 7 and 14 would enjoy their stay better at the All Star Music Resort? Should I change resorts?

    Hi Amanda!
My advice to you would be to keep your reservations at Port Orleans Riverside instead of changing to All Star Music Resort.  Here are my reasons why:

    1. The Moderate Resort's rooms are larger than the Value Resort's rooms

    2. The bathroom portion of the rooms in Port Orleans have a curtain that can be drawn for privacy and there are double sinks outside the bathroom as well

    3. Port Orleans Resort Riverside in Alligator Bayou does offer trundle beds (a single bed that pulls out from underneath the double bed) in their double bed rooms if you request it when when you make your reservation or at check in. This option would be better for your family if your kids do not enjoy sleeping in the same bed together.

    4. A single cup coffee maker and mini refrigerator are part of every Moderate Resort room

The All Star Music Suites are larger than the standard Value Resort rooms, but the price per night is higher as well.  I stayed in Port Orleans French Quarter (Riverside's sister Resort) in March of 2010 and I fell in love with the Moderate rooms and all of Port Orleans as well.  I normally stay in the Value Resorts, but I think that I am being converted to the amazing Moderate Resorts in Walt Disney World!

I hope that you and your family have an amazing and magical vacation on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
