Currently have reservations at All Star Music resort. I am thinking about upgrading to the Caribbean, my ? is, is it worth the extra money? This is our first time visiting and want to make the best out of this trip.

Hi, Stephanie!   Choosing between a value and a moderate resort is a tough call!    Here are the main differences between the two:   a room in a value resort is about 260 square feet, has 1 sink in the bathroom, no table service restaurant, and no slide at the pool.    A room in a moderate resort is about 314 square feet, will have 2 bathroom sinks (except for Coronado Springs has only 1 sink,) a table service restaurant, and a pool slide.

Both categories will have large food courts, themed pools and common areas, use of Disney's Magical Express for airport transportation, bus transportation around the Disney property, and that world famous Disney Magic 24/7!

If you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort relaxing and using the pool, then the upgrade might be worth it for you.   Also, I suggest Caribbean Beach if you have a little pirate in your family - the pirate themed rooms are really cute!  (Must book a pirate room during reservation process.)   However, if your room is for sleeping, showering, then getting right back into the action, then stick with your reservation at All-Star Music.    My family has stayed at both resorts and had a great time at both!   My kids love the energy and activity of the Value Resorts, I like the relaxing feel of Caribbean Beach and strolling along Barefoot Bay.  (There is much more walking involved at Caribbean Beach.)

Whatever you decide, I hope your vacation is magical!
