Hello! I currently have reservations for the Happiest Haunts: The Villain’s Trail Guided Tour. Is the “reserved viewing” for Halloween Screams located in the hub with a view of the castle or in front of Small World?

Happy Halloween Time, Coleman, and welcome to planDisney! Guided tours are a great addition to any Disneyland Resort vacation. I love that you'll have a chance to experience Disney’s Happiest Haunts: The Villains’ Trail Guided Tour – it's the perfect way to get in the spirit of the season.

As you mentioned, Coleman, Guests who go on this tour receive reserved viewing for the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who told me that the reserved viewing area is near Sleeping Beauty Castle, closer to the Partners statue. Ideally, you'd take the tour on a date when fireworks are scheduled, which you can look for on the Hours & Events Calendar. The calendar provides entertainment information up to six weeks in advance. Please note that tour offerings are subject to change, so be sure to confirm the details when you check in for your tour.

In addition to the reserved viewing for the nighttime spectacular, you can expect to enjoy a lot more fun as part of the tour, including spooky stories and stops across the Resort, a Lightning Lane entry for Haunted Mansion Holiday, a photo op with the animatronic Witch from Snow White, and a collectible keepsake!

Here are some other Halloween Time experiences that you might want to add to your list:

    • Head to California Adventure for the ultimate thrill! Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark each afternoon through Halloween. You can time your visit to experience both versions of the attraction. If you have the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll have the opportunity to make a selection for each one on a given day.
    • Try some of the Halloween-themed eats! There's something for everyone, including a lot of pumpkin-flavored food and drinks. Browse through the Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog and make a list of the items that sound the best to you.
    • Check out Disney Characters dressed for the season – you can usually find Mickey and his pals in their Halloween costumes in Town Square. Head to Radiator Springs in California Adventure for a chance to see Mater and Lightning McQueen in costumes, too!

Coleman, I hope you have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions ahead of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
