Hello - I currently have reservations for both the Droid and light sabre making session. My kids are 6 and 8. I was wondering if there is any one that has done both the session and if they prefer to do one workshop over the other.

Bright Suns, Ekta! It's so exciting that you've got a trip to Batuu planned in just a few weeks. There's so much to do in Black Spire Outpost and I can't blame you for thinking about how you're going to get it all done! There are two brand new attractions to enjoy, lots of shopping and merchandise locations and, of course, many new food options to try. Two of the most popular experiences are the ones that you've booked reservations for, Droid Depot and Savi's Workshop, so let's have a chat about which one is best for your kids!

I'll start by saying that both of the reservations you have are great for kids, especially if they're Star Wars fans. I've experienced both Savi's Workshop and Droid Depot and I personally think that building a droid will be the better option if you can only do one. Your kids will get the chance to customize their own droids from parts that they choose themselves and the building process is so much fun! They can bring their new astromech units to life and even choose an additional personality chip for them if they want their droids to have First Order or Resistance ties, or they can choose the Scoundrel personality chip if they make a droid who is just out for themselves with no allegiances. The droids interact with certain elements inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and when I was on Batuu this winter I even saw a little training area where kids were playing with the droids they had just made! While the lightsaber building experience is also fun and immersive, the final product is more of a piece of memorabilia for display whereas the droid is a toy that can be played with right immediately!

'Til the Spire, Ekta, and may the Force be with you!
