Welcome to planDisney Jennifer!
I am so happy to hear that in just a couple of days you will be at the Walt Disney World Resort! Some of my fondest Disney memories were made while visiting with my best friends. As this is a one-day visit, I will try giving tips and advice to help you decide which destination is right for your group.
Your visit is just two days away, so you must first
verify theme park availability. After confirming which parks still offer reservations for the date of your visit, you will be able to consider different options before canceling your existing
Disney Park Pass reservation and making a new one.
If this is your first visit, or if anyone in your group is a first-timer, I highly recommend
Magic Kingdom Park. This is probably the park that comes to mind when you think of the Walt Disney World Resort. In my opinion, this iconic destination is where you will find the full classic Disney experience with attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and more! Just walking down Main Street U.S.A. towards Cinderella Castle and taking in the sights and sounds is an experience I always look forward to with every visit.
Personally, my first theme park choice while visiting with friends is
EPCOT. The attractions are so much fun to enjoy as a group, and touring the countries around the World Showcase to explore food and beverages in each pavilion is our favorite thing to do. Guests heading to this park until February 22, 2021, also get to immerse themselves in culinary, performing, and visual arts during
Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts (already included with theme park admission). I recommend taking a taxi or using a ride share service to get to EPCOT, and exiting the park at the end of your day through the International Gateway between the France and United Kingdom pavilions. This will give you the chance to enjoy a lovely evening at
Disney’s BoardWalk and even a nice aerial gondola ride on the
Disney Skyliner.
If you are an adventurous nature-loving group and decide to keep your reservation at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park you will most definitely not be disappointed. Pandora – The World of Avatar is breathtaking - Avatar Flight of Passage is currently my favorite attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort. My family never misses the chance to experience Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids, and the gorgeous Maharaja Jungle Trek. As the sun sets, find yourselves a cozy spot at
Nomad Lounge to discover specialty drinks and delicious appetizers from across the globe – this is my favorite hidden gem at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
It was a pleasure answering your question, Jennifer. I hope the information above helps you make a final decision and that you have a magical visit!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
