Hiya Leonard,
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to help one of my neighbors, as Disney Vacation Club is a great neighborhood to be a part of, don't you think Leonard? Our family loves the home away from home experience staying at
Disney Vacation Club Resort provides. Whenever we wander, wherever we roam, we couldn't be fonder of our sweet home, especially when it is full of Disney magic.
Leonard, I double-checked with
Disney Vacation Club Member Services about your question. They confirmed that if you extend your stay of your existing reservation at the same Resort, which sounds like it's your
Home Resort, then that would be under the same reservation number. However, if you extend your stay at a different Disney Vacation Club Resort when the reservation period opens up at seven months, this will automatically create a new reservation number in the system.
What you can do is contact Member Services once the second Resort is booked and let them know this is the same vacation and you are doing a split stay just so they have this noted on your reservation. Then on the morning you are transferring to your new Disney Vacation Club Resort, just bring your bags down to Bell Services and let them know you need your luggage transferred to your new Resort. Then enjoy your magical day!
Once you return to your new Resort, you can let them know you have luggage arriving from your previous Resort. It may not come until late afternoon, so just make sure you have everything all of the thingamabobs you need for your day before turning it over to
Bell Services. Now, if you have any groceries from your Disney Vacation Club Resort, Bell Services will move those as long as they are not perishable and are packaged up and in a closed bag.
I hope this helps you, Leonard! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions,
stop back and see me here. I'll be so happy to help you!
See ya real soon,
Keri
