We currently have a reservation fro Sci Fi at 5:35. We want to make the Fantasmic show at 7pm. Will we have enough time to eat and get to Fantasmic on time?

    Hi Sarah,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

It sounds like you are planning some great experiences while you are at Walt Disney World. Fantasmic! is a fabulous nighttime show, with great characters a wonderful story. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is a fun experience as well, with science fiction clips on a large screen.

I do think that the timeline that you have set will be quite tight for being able to have your dinner and make it to Fantasmic! with enough time to enjoy both. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is a ways away from the Fantasmic! show, so you will need to leave some time to walk over - I would estimate at least 15 minutes. It is also good to arrive a bit early for the show to ensure that you get a good seat. I like to be in line no later than 30 minutes before the show. In order to do so, you would probably need to leave the restaurant by about 6:15 p.m.

I do have a few suggestions for you. Consider seeing Fantasmic! on another night if you plan to be in Disney's Hollywood Studios for more than one day. If you are only planning to spend one day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I suggest that you try to move your dinner reservation earlier. Even a half hour or so, a reservation at 5:00 p.m., would be a big help. Finally, you could consider using a Disney's FastPass+ selection for Fantasmic!, which would allow you a little extra time to head to the show, knowing that you will have a spot once you arrive.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Sarah! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
