    Currently have reservation at Disney World resort with 7 day park hopper tickets and deluxe dining plan for 4 adults and 2 children. What would be the cost to update to year pass for everyone?

    Hi, Sandra!

    Because ticket prices are subject to change, I do not know what you paid for your 7 day park hoppers.  I am going to estimate that you paid about $439.  Currently (with prices subject to change) a Disney Platinum Pass (12 months of unlimited visits to the theme parks with no  blackout dates, water parks NOT included) is about $749 (taxes not included). As you can see, if you plan even 2 visits in a 12 month period, the upgrade to the Annual Pass is worth it.  Not only will you save on tickets, you get the perks of being a Pass Holder, including shopping discounts, dining discounts, and even occasional resort discounts on "room only" reservations.

    I am a big fan of being a Pass Holder. I like that on arrival and departure days my family can pop into a park for an hour or so and not feel like we "wasted" a day of our park tickets. But I will warn you, it does give the kids a great argument of why we need "one more trip!" since we get into the parks for "free!"  Ok, I guess I get their point, and after the initial tough credit card charge, the rest of your trips do seem quite economical!  My family's spring trip was an easy choice this year. We booked a great resort rate with our Annual Pass discount, and the tickets are covered with the passes, so not a bad way to travel - and we get to visit Mickey Mouse as a bonus!  Just make sure to look ahead to see when you would be able to take that second (or third or fourth!) trip to WDW to make this a good financial choice.
